The Association of Tunisians from Grandes Ecoles (ATUGE) is set to host the Tunisia Global Forum (TGF) on July 23 in Tunis.
This event focuses on mobilising Tunisian talents abroad, as well as business and innovation ecosystems, by connecting key players committed to the country’s transformation and global influence.
Under the theme “The Tunisian Diaspora: a Driving Force for the Transformation and Influence of Tunisia,” the forum will gather over 1,500 participants and more than 100 enterprises, startups, clusters, national institutions, and international entities.
It will be marked by a dynamic exhibition space, plenary sessions, workshops, and B2B meetings which promise to provide major opportunities, according to ATUGE. The aim is to link the national Diaspora with Tunisia’s development challenges.
Co-organised with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), the forum is seen as a “major event” within the Diaspora Month programme, which spans from July 15 to August 15.
This initiative aims to transform the vacation period of Tunisians worldwide into an opportunity to reconnect professional networks with Tunisia’s future challenges and dynamics.
During the forum, a survey on the engagement and contribution of the Tunisian Diaspora to the country’s economic and social development will be unveiled, in collaboration with Swisscontact’s Perspectives programme.
The findings of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for jointly developing a national strategy to mobilise the Diaspora, alongside concrete proposals to enhance the engagement of Tunisians worldwide and boost their impact on Tunisia’s economic and social development.
The Tunisia Global Forum is an event of the World Alliance of Tunisian Talents (WATT), established in July 2023 by ATUGE and other associations of Tunisian talents active in Tunisia, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, and the Middle East.
The July 23 event in Tunis follows a series of WATT-organised events in Paris (September 2023), London (November 2023), Munich (February 2024), with upcoming events planned for Lausanne (September 2024) and Montreal (October 2024).
