The total turnover of BH ASSURANCE was 103.3 million dinars, at the end of the first half of 2024, compared with 91.2 million dinars at June 30, 2023, representing a growth of 13%.
Non-life insurance recorded a turnover of 60.1 million dinars, compared with 55.4 million dinars in June 2023, an increase of 8%, while life insurance recorded a turnover of 43.3 million dinars, compared with 35.8 million dinars in June 2023, up 21%.
Ceded premiums increased by 15%, mainly as a result of the increase in premium income.
Claims expenses totaled 79.1 million dinars compared to 47.9 million dinars at 30 June 2023, an increase of 65%.
This increase was due to two large fire claims, which were heavily reinsured, and expired life capitalization contracts.
In addition, investment income increased by 14% compared to the same period in 2023.
