Gabon has raised about US$ 1.5 billion from the international market, a PANA correspondent quoted the Gabonese Economy Minister, Luc Oyoubi, as saying on State Radio-Television on Monday.
According to the minister, the amount is the largest an African country, south of the Sahara, has been able to raise from the international market.
The minister said Gabon had previously raised about a billion FCFA in 2007.
According to him, the amount raised proves that Gabon was financially credible on the international scene.
