All retail outlets and distribution points operated by Tunisia’s National Petroleum Distribution Company (AGIL) will soon be equipped with photovoltaic solar panels, according to CEO Khaled Batine.
Speaking to Mosaïque FM, Batine said the initiative will enable AGIL’s sites to operate on clean, environmentally friendly energy while ensuring a reliable electricity supply, particularly as the government seeks to increase imports of electric vehicles.
He also announced that AGIL has already installed 10 electric vehicle-charging stations, with 35 additional charging points scheduled to be installed by the end of 2026, bringing the total to 45 nationwide.
