The German government has provided Tunisia with coronavirus (COVID-19) laboratory testing materials.
The German embassy in Tunis said in a statement Monday the laboratory testing materials will benefit the military hospital as well as the Pasteur Institute in Tunis.
It highlighted the continuation of joint actions between Tunisia and Germany in the framework of the biological security programme that started several years ago, noting that both countries’ biologists are working closely together in reducing biological threats.
In this context, Germany had previously handed Tunisia a mobile laboratory operated during the global health crisis caused by the spread of COVID-19, the statement said.
