out details in their quest to establish a sub-regional airline, PANA learnt from official sources.
The agreement for the establishment of the new sub-regional airline involving the three West Africa States was reached when the Malian President, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, visited Mauritania, a fortnight ago.
Mauritania currently has a State-owned airline, Mauritania Airlines International (MAI).
According to the sources, the need to establish the sub-regional airline followed the desire to join forces in a bid to maximize success after individual airlines had failed.
