“ORBIT International”, one of the largest manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of workwear in Europe, announces the installation of a new plant in Beja by May 2013.
The British group will start its activities in October 2012, at the ISET (Institute of Technological Studies), in the region.
The new workwear manufacturing unit is being built on an area of 23 000 m2 in Beja. “ORBIT” plans to recruit 250 people in a first stage. This number is expected to grow, within 5 years, to 2,000 employees. “Tunisia is a good place to invest at the right time”, said Roger Foster, director of “Orbit International.”
“This plant will provide greater flexibility and more efficient and more profitable inventory management” that will benefit customers of the group.
“This facility will complement the existing ones in Qingdao, China, Pakistan and Bangladesh to better serve a diverse customer base around the world, by managing time, budget and revenue and offering a diverse range of products,” said responsible.
