Tunisia: 0.7 MTD from IDB to the INS to conduct survey on immigration

The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has expressed its readiness to provide financial assistance for the benefit of the National Statistics Institute (INS), said a statement from Secretary of State for development and international cooperation.

This assistance, whose exact amount has not been set but could reach 700,000 dinars, is for the acquisition of equipment necessary for conducting a national survey on immigration scheduled for 2015, said the department.

It will also serve to provide the necessary logistics for the establishment of an institute of continuing education in the field of statistics.

This assistance has been the focus of a recent meeting between Secretary of State for Development and International Cooperation Noureddine Zekri and director of economic research and statistics at the IDB, Abdellatif Blou and economic expert Jameleddine Zarrouk currently.
