“The construction of two new power production stations in Bir Mchergua (Zaghouan) will be completed in June 2013,” said Minister of Industry, Mohamed Lamine Chakhari during a press conference held Monday in Tunis.
These stations, with a capacity of 250 megawatts, will allowing overcome the electrical power outages experienced by the country during the peak of consumption in summer 2012.
American Company “General Motors” has secured the contract for the realization of these two stations, provided that the implementation period does not exceed 9 months instead of 18 months (normal works period).
