Until March 2012, Tunisian exports of olive oil rose to about 50,000 tons including 3,600 tons of packaged olive oil although predication for the entire harvest have relied on the export of 140 000 tons.
Exports during the same period last year were close to 57,200 tons.
Revenues from exports reached for their part 180 million dinars.
Concerning production, harvesting of olive oil for the current crop was estimated at about 180,000 tons.
