Tunisia: AfDB injects € 191.12 million in modernization of road infrastructure

The African Development Bank (AfDB) announced in a statement on October 28, having granted Tunisia a loan of € 190.12 million and a grant of € 1.5 million to help finance the modernization Project of road infrastructure (PMIR).

These funds will be specifically used to finance the rehabilitation of 719 km of classified roads, reconstruction of 23 bridges, and conducting studies to improve the management of the road sub-sector.

This project falls within the framework of completion of the upgrading of Tunisian classified road network undertaken since the late 1990s, with sustained support from AfDB.
