Tunisia: ATB increases its quarterly NBI by 8% to 82 million dinars

At the end of the first quarter of the current year, the Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB) achieved a net banking income (NBI) of 82.5 million dinars, against 76.6 million a year earlier, recording an improvement of 7.7%.

Banking operating income reached 179.7 million dinars, against 154.7 million dinars on March 31, 2022, up 25 million dinars (+16.1%). As for banking operating expenses, they reached 97.2 million dinars, against 78.1 million a year earlier, i.e. an increase of 24.4%.

Loans net of provisions and reserved agios reached 5,165 million dinars at the end of March 2023 against 5,342 million in 2023. Customer deposits reached 5,854 million dinars, against 6,015.3 million dinars at the end of March 2022.

Savings deposits amounted to 1,544 million dinars, against 1,452 million dinars a year earlier, i.e. an increase of 91.9 million dinars (+6.3%).

In addition, the bank’s operating expenses reached 54 million dinars at the end of March 2023 against 48.6 million dinars at the end of March 2022.
