Tunisia: BNA sees 15.1% growth in NBI in Q1 2021

The net banking income (NBI) of the Banque Nationale Agricole (BNA) reached 188 million dinars (MD), on March 31, 2021, against 163 MD, during the same period 2020, posting a 15.1% increase.

The expenses of banking operation, on the other hand, dropped by 17 MD, to 163 MD in the first quarter 2021, down 9,8 %, according to the indicators of quarterly activity of the bank published on the site of the Financial Market Council (CMF).

The banking operating income reached 351 MD, on March 31 2021, posting an increase of 7 MD, that is to say a rise of 2,1%.

The total amount of operating expenses grew 3.3% between March 2020 and March 2021, rising from 71 MD on March 31, 2020 to 73 MD, in the same period of 2021.

The outstanding debts on customers net of provisions and reserved agios, reached 11,336 million dinars, at the end of March 2021, up 4.2% compared to the same period 2020.

As for customer deposits, they saw an increase of 223 MD, that is to say a growth of 2.5%, between March 2020 and March 2021.
