Tunisia: Ellouhoum will not import sheep (Minister)

Minister of Trade and Export Development Kalthoum Ben Rejeb said the Ellouhoum Company is unable to import sheep due to a financial situation resulting from the import of sheep from Romania in 2012 and the events surrounding this operation.

The minister also said that her ministry is working to supply the market with lamb meat in order to put pressure on prices during the Eid period and to set a reference price for the sale of sheep in organized outlets.

Ben Rejeb also pointed out that the Fodder Authority was working to solve the problems of fodder and its supply to farmers, which would make it possible to adjust the price of red meat on the market, reports Mosaïque fm.
