Tunisia: ASSAD partners with ACTIA group to position in Lithium battery segment

The Tunisian Accumulator ASSAD has announced the signing, Thursday, May 27, 2021, of a Memorandum with ACTIA Africa, Tunisian subsidiary of ACTIA Group, a French multinational operating in the automotive and telecom field.

Through this partnership, a first milestone of the program has been set. It will allow both companies to develop synergies and in particular the Assad Group to adapt to technological developments in the market and position itself on the Lithium battery segment.

This partnership is mutually beneficial since it will allow ASSAD to diversify its products and integrate batteries based on new technologies, such as Lithium.

It will also enable it to eventually have an electric mobility and energy storage offer, enriched with ACTIA’s expertise in embedded electronics to digitalize the diagnosis and remote monitoring of batteries for a better customer experience.

For ACTIA Africa, this partnership with the regional battery industry leader opens up new prospects for applications of its historical know-how in embedded electronics and electronic systems diagnostics.

The Tunisian subsidiary of the ACTIA group would therefore contribute to the development of the local ecosystem through the design and implementation of solutions tailored to the African market.

Created in early April 2018, ACTIA Africa, the latest addition to the ACTIA Group, displays its ambitions on the African continent.

The main objective of this new company based in Tunis is to seize the opportunities of a particularly dynamic economic ecosystem.
