Tunisia’s Industrial imports grew 5.4% during the first quarter of 2014 to 7,460.6 million Tunisian dinars (MTD) from 7,079.2 MTD, a year earlier, according to statistics from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy.
Agricultural products have the highest growth rate with 20.6%, followed by construction materials (12.3%), textiles & clothing (9.8%), various industries (7.1%), mechanical and electrical industries (5.1%), and leather and shoes (1.5%).
The only sector that has seen its imports fall is the chemical industries which declined 2.8%.
