Tunisia: MIP sees its turnover fall by 35% in H1

The Company “Maghreb International Publicité” (MIP) has just published its activity indicators for the first half of the current year. These indicators show a 35% drop in the company’s turnover.

Indeed, the company’s revenues increased from 1 million dinars on June 30, 2019 to 671,855 dinars at the end of June. This decline is due mainly to the reduction of advertising space operated by the company.

This situation, the company points out, has been aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has resulted in decreased activity due to lockdown.

On the other hand, the financial expenses of the company increased by 78% for the first half of the year to reach 404 thousand dinars against 227 thousand dinars at the end of June last year.

As a result, the EBITDA margin was negative at 29.7% at the end of the first half of the year, the same level as at the end of June 2019.
