Oil production from the concessions of the Entreprise Tunisienne d’Activités Pétrolière (ETAP), which accounts for 81.7% of domestic production, stood at 877,700 barrels in December 2022, from 868,000 barrels in November, according to data published by ETAP.
For the whole of 2022, Tunisia’s production stands at 10.1 million barrels, slightly less than the 10.3 million barrels of 2021 or also the average production of the last five years, namely 10.4 million barrels.
The volume of that production was 11.3 million in 2018 and fell to 10.2 in 2019 and 9.7 million in 2020.
For gas, December production was 26.4% lower than in November 2022. However, for the full year 2022, gas production is up 13.3% to 2,239 MM3 compared to 1,976 MM3 in 2021.
