Tunisia’s e-payment indicators for the year 2022 reveal a clear acceleration of this type of payment, compared to the previous year.
According to the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the number of e-payment transactions has increased by 26% to 12.5 million transactions, against 9.9 million in 2021.
In terms of value, e-payment in Tunisia has reached an amount of 831.3 million dinars, against 576.9 million in 2021, thus recording a 44% surge.
Similarly, the number of merchant sites has risen by 10% between 2021 and 2022, going from 1,436 to 1,583 sites.
