The total number of valid oil permits totaled 31 at the end of December including 29 exploration permits, two exploration licenses covering a total area of 90,073 Km2 and 53 operating concessions, including 35 production concessions.
The latest report from the National Energy Observatory reported the giving up of six permits, namely the research permit “Sidi Mansour” or that of “Tajerouine”
Add to this, the cancellation of another research permit “Bazma” following the bankruptcy of the company that is unable to meet its obligations.
It should be recalled that national crude oil production has decreased by 9% in 2015 to 2,306 Ktoe.
