Tunisia’s olive oil export earnings for the 2023/2024 season reached 5,162 million dinars, with the sale of 195,368 tons, including 28,600 tons of packaged olive oil worth 827 million dinars.
According to data published by the National Olive Oil Board (ONH), the average selling price of Tunisian olive oil on world markets reached 26,422 dinars per ton and 28,904 dinars for packaged olive oil.
In comparison, for the 2022/2023 season, Tunisian exports reached 194,559 tons of olive oil worth 3,422 million dinars, with an average price of 17,590 dinars per ton and 19,596 dinars for packaged olive oil.
The ONH also reported a 51% increase in export earnings between the two seasons, accompanied by a 46% increase in the quantities of packaged olive oil exported.
Tunisia’s olive oil production amounted to 210,000 tons in the 2023/2024 season and is expected to reach 310,000 tons in the new season.
