The Qatari Islamic Investment Bank has proposed to the Tunisian government to finance the purchase of four state-of-the-art Airbus,” Qatar’s Al Arab newspaper reported.
The issue was discussed at a meeting between the management of the bank, on the one hand, and Tunisian Minister of Transport, Abdelkarim Harouni and the CEO of Tunisair, on the other hand.
The Qatari bank has also proposed funding logistics projects, including the extension of the Tunis-Carthage airport and financial support for rail projects.
