Tunisia: STIP increases Q1 revenues by 5% to 27 million dinars

Société Tunisienne des Industries de Pneumatiques (STIP) has published its business indicators for the first quarter of 2025, which are marked by contrasting but overall positive results.

In the first three months of 2025, STIP recorded a 5% increase in total turnover to 27.3 million dinars compared to the same period in 2024.

This increase was mainly due to an exceptional export performance, with export sales up 143% to 5.7 million dinars.

This spectacular leap enabled the company to offset the downturn in the local market, where sales fell by 8% to 21.6 million dinars over the same period.

Despite this sales momentum, STIP’s production fell sharply by 36% compared to the first quarter of 2007.

The main reason for this decline was the total shutdown of production in March 2025 due to a boiler inspection.

This inspection was necessitated by a strike decision, underlining a tense social context that affected the smooth running of industrial activities.
