Tunisia: TAWASOL Group increases its turnover by 8% to 85 million dinars in 2024

In 2024, the TAWASOL Group recorded revenues of 84.3 million dinars, an increase of 8.5% compared to 2023.

Local turnover sales fell by a cumulative 16%, mainly due to the discontinuation of the optical fiber business, which was deemed unprofitable.

This strategic decision, while having a temporary impact on local results, is aimed at refocusing efforts on higher value-added activities and improving overall profitability in the long term.

Sales in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) declined significantly in 2009, mainly as a result of the armed conflict in the east of the country, unfavorable weather conditions and the exhaustion of a large part of our market in the first three quarters of the year. These factors held back performance despite a promising start.

Annual sales in the Telecom Network segment amounted to 19.7 million dinars, down 1.4% on the previous year. Export sales in this segment amounted to 14.4 million dinars, an increase of 5.4%.

Retel continued its strategy of diversifying its customer base while accelerating its expansion on the African continent through high value-added projects, with a significant improvement in sales in 2024.

The division’s revenues increased by 29% in 2024, driven by the launch of projects in Africa, generating cumulative export revenues of 14.8 million dinars.

UTS-PALMA is active in the extrusion of aluminum profiles. The company recorded a 4.4% increase in cumulative sales in 2024 compared to 2023, allowing it to recover the lost ground in terms of cumulative sales.
