At the end of June 2024, compared with its level at the end of 2023, the Tunisian dinar (TND) had depreciated by 2.4% against the US dollar and by 1.6% against the Moroccan dirham, while it had appreciated by 0.9% and 10.5% respectively against the euro and the Japanese yen.
This is according to the latest bi-monthly economic report published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
The BCT also states that on the international foreign exchange market, the single currency depreciated by 3.7% against the US dollar during the period under review.
On average, the dinar depreciated by 1% simultaneously against the euro and the US dollar and by 3.4% against the Moroccan dirham in the first half of 2002. Against the Japanese yen, the dinar appreciated by 11%.
