Tunisia: Tourism revenues up by 5% in Q1 2025

Tunisian tourism revenues rose by 5% in the first quarter of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024, according to the latest statistics published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

These figures show that revenues in the sector reached 1,210.6 million dinars (MD) on March 20, 2025, compared with 1,152.8 MD a year earlier.

Minister of Tourism, Sofiane Tekaya, previously told TAP news agency that Tunisia could welcome more than 11 million tourists in 2025, compared with 10.25 million in 2024.

He announced an extensive program of beach, medical, cultural and ecological tourism for the coming season.

The Ministry is also seeking to diversify its outbound markets, targeting in particular the Czech Republic, China and Spain.

An agreement has been signed with the Czech Republic to open direct flights from April 2025.
