Tunisia: Tunisiab Bank, African Islamic banks sign pact

Tunisia’s Zitouna Bank has signed an agreement on the exchange of experts and capacity building in microfinance with Islamic banks in Senegal, Niger, Guinea, Mauritania and Sudan.

The agreement, signed in Tunis Monday, covers exchanges in the development of Islamic banking, financial products and of non-confidential technical documents, including annual reports.

It is aimed at establishing a cooperation network in the field of finance and business to improve the environment for investment and trade among the signatory countries.

Zitouna Bank and Islamic Banks in Senegal, Guinea, Niger, Mauritania and Sudan signed the agreement following a meeting they held in the Tunisian capital.
