Turkey will release $ 500 million for a program of cooperation to development in Tunisia. This announcement was made by Cevdet Yilmaz, Turkish Minister of Development, at a meeting, held Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Ministry of Regional Development and Planning.
At this meeting, a program of cooperation to the development of Tunisia was signed.
Indeed, 100 million will be disbursed as a grant, while $ 400 million will be allocated in the form of a repayable long term loan.
On areas of intervention, the Minister said they will be identified by Tunisian officials and stakeholders to meet their needs and priorities.
It should be mentioned that the signing of the financial agreement has not been completed yet.
