The unemployment rate posted a slight decrease of 0.2% during the first quarter of this year, reaching 6.5% against 16.7% in the fourth quarter of last year, according to figures from the National statistics Institute (INS) made public at a press conference held Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Tunis.
Note that this rate had also declined 1.6% in the first quarter of 2012.
