A few months after the inauguration of its new production site for electronic components for the automotive industry, the US company VISTEON is unveiling its new investment strategy in Tunisia.
This strategy includes the expansion of its production site and the creation of a new TECH centre specializing in interior design technologies, cybersecurity and connected cars.
At a progress meeting held at the Tunisian Investment Authority (TIA) headquarters, VISTEON representatives shared the broad outlines of this ambitious plan with their TIA counterparts, in the presence of TIA President Namia Ayadi.
Convinced by the quality of Tunisian skills and the excellent performance of its current site, the company plans to integrate advanced magnesium injection technology with an additional investment of more than 30 million dinars, transforming the Tunisian site into an integrated benchmark site.
The new plan also includes the creation of a new TECH Centre dedicated to advanced technologies for the automotive sector, which will create 350 jobs (engineers) by 2026, confirming once again the confidence of investors in Tunisia.
Thanks to a favorable investment environment, advantageous conditions and a highly qualified workforce, Tunisia is establishing itself as a destination of choice for innovative projects with high added value,” reads the TIA press release.
According to VISTEON representatives, Tunisia offers a promising investment environment that encourages innovation and the integration of new cutting-edge technologies in the automotive sector by creating new quality employment opportunities.
Headquartered in Van Buren Township, Michigan in the United States, Visteon operates in 17 countries around the world. It has sales of nearly $4 billion and has signed new contracts worth $7.2 billion in 2023.
