Tunisian, Bulgarian employers’ organizations sign MoU

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed, Monday in Tunis, between the Tunisian Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Union (UTICA) and Bulgaria’s Employers’ and Industrialists’ Confederation.br /> Signed on the sidelines of a Tunisian-Bulgarian business meeting, the MoU aims to support cooperation and partnership between the heads of enterprise and industrialists in the two countries and boost the industrial and trade exchanges.
 It also provides for the exchange of visits between Tunisian and Bulgarian businessmen and the holding of meetings and forums with a view to exploring new partnership opportunities.Bulgarian Economy, Energy and Tourism Minister Traiko Taikov stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries’ private sectors.
 He also pointed up the similarities between Tunisia and Bulgaria, particularly at the economic level given the fact that the two countries’ economic fabrics rest on the small and medium enterprises.
 Secretary of State in charge of international cooperation Aleya Bettaieb underlined that the investment climate in Tunisia offers today several opportunities in all fields. 
Additionally, the Tunisian market allows the Bulgarian businessmen to access other Maghreb markets.
The Tunisian-Bulgarian business meeting was organized in conjunction with the official visit of Bulgarian PM Boiko Borisov in Tunisia, February 26-28, 2012, accompanied by a delegation representing about 30 Bulgarian enterprises.
