The Cape Verdean General Inspectorate for Economic Ac tivities (IGAE) has seized more than 20 tonnes of ‘expired’ powder milk, officia l sources said Wednesday in Praia, the capital.
The milk was discovered Tuesday packed in a warehouse located in the Cape Verdea n capital, Praia, and in a baker’s house in the city.
The Inspectorate said the owners of the goods, already identified, could be fine d up to 500,000 escudos (about 4,600 euros) if convicted.
