The fall in Tunisia’s tourism revenues is intensifying month by month. According to the daily monetary and financial indicators of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the cumulative tourist receipts posted a decline of 962 million dinars, at the end of the first six months of the current year (from the beginning of the year), in comparison with the same period in 2019, i.e. a fall of 47%.
For the first quarter, Tunisia’s tourism receipts therefore amounted to 1.08 billion dinars, against 2.04 billion at the end of June 2019.
