Tunisian investor Firas Ben Ahmed Becha has officially exceeded the 5% threshold in the capital of L’Accumulateur Tunisien ASSAD, according to a statement issued by the Tunis stock exchange.
This threshold was exceeded on April 10, 2025 following the acquisition of 10,926 additional shares on the stock exchange.
This transaction was in addition to a previous holding of 1,190,112 shares, representing 4.96% of the share capital. The investor now holds 1,201,038 shares, representing 5.004% of ASSAD’s share capital.
In his statement, Mr. Ben Ahmed Becha makes no secret of his intentions: he intends to continue acquiring ASSAD shares over the next 12 months.
He also announces his intention to join the company’s Board of Directors, without announcing any other significant measures.
This could be a new twist in ASSAD’s shareholder base, reflecting the growing interest of private investors in this family-owned battery manufacturer.
