Preliminary estimates from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries indicate that Tunisia’s 2025 summer stone fruit harvest is projected to reach 251,500 tons, up 2.8% from 244,700 tons in the previous season.
Cultivated areas decreased slightly to 197,500 hectares (vs. 201,800 ha in 2024), a 2.1% drop.
The peach harvest for the current season is estimated at 121 thousand tons, compared with 122.3 thousand tons for the previous season.
Meanwhile, the plum harvest is expected to reach 42.7 thousand tons, which is a 4.7% increase on the previous season.
The dry almond harvest is expected to reach around 56.5 thousand tons, up from 45.2 thousand tons in the 2024 season, a significant increase of 25%.
Plum production is expected to reach approximately 17,000 tons, marking a 10.5% decrease from the previous season.
According to data from the Department of Agriculture, national cherry production increased by 6.1% to 9,600 tons, while the medlar harvest decreased by 12.7% to 2,750 tons compared to 3,150 tons in the 2024 season.
