An increase in banknotes and coins in circulation was recorded, reaching TND 27.3 billion as of February 3, 2026, compared with TND 22.8 billion on the same date last year, according to monetary and financial indicators published Wednesday by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
Cumulative workers’ remittances also rose by 6.3%, reaching TND 810.9 million at the end of January 2026, compared with TND 762.8 million in January 2025.
Similarly, tourism revenues increased by 4.3%, reaching TND 546 million by the end of January 2026, compared with the same period last year.
Net foreign exchange reserves exceeded TND 25.5 billion, equivalent to 107 days of imports, as of February 3, 2026, marking a significant increase compared with the same period last year (TND 23.2 billion, or 102 days of imports).
