ABC Bank Tunisia grants Enda Tamweel 10-million-dinar loan

ABC Bank Tunisia and Enda Tamweel have just signed a loan agreement of 10 million Tunisian dinars that will allow Enda Tamweel, a leader in the microfinance sector in Tunisia working for the financial inclusion of vulnerable populations, especially women and youth, to expand the financing capacities of micro-entrepreneurs.

The agreement shows ABC Bank’s commitment to be a strategic ally in the microfinance sector and support micro-entrepreneurs, especially in the current economic context, by reaching over 3,800 beneficiaries, 61% of whom are women.

“I am delighted to seal this contract of 10 million dinars with Enda Tamweel. This is the second transaction between our two institutions which is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy encouraging the Social and Solidarity Economy, promoting financial inclusion and fighting against social disparities in this current particularly tense environment.

There will be other collaborative projects under consideration with Enda Tamweel in the future,” said Ms. Chedia Bichiou, Acting General Manager, ABC Bank Tunisia.

“This loan will allow us to contribute to financial and social inclusion of vulnerable populations in Tunisia for the benefit of farmers, youth and rural women to benefit from credits from Enda Tamweel.

This initiative is at the very heart of the mission and project carried by Enda is an integral part of the CSR of both institutions,” testifies Mr. Mohamed Zmandar, Managing Director of Enda Tamweel.
