Army fires on “suspicious” car: One dead

One individual was killed on Wednesday when a national army patrol shot at a car near the buffer zone in the southeastern city of Jenin, the Ministry of National Defence said in a statement.

“A national army patrol shot at a “suspicious” car that refused to obey the summons to stop inside the buffer zone,” the department said in a statement.

During the search of the car, three Tunisians were arrested. One of them succumbed to his injuries despite the care provided by an ambulance that was dispatched for this purpose. The military justice system has pledged to open an investigation.
