Cote d’Ivoire: Senegal to host summit on infrastructure financing in Africa

summit on infrastructure financing in Africa, convened by Senegal’s President Macky Sall, will be held 14-15 June in Dakar, the nation’s capital, sources at the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) told PANA.

The summit is aimed at promoting the participation of the private sector in the financing and development of infrastructure in Africa.

During the summit, several projects selected within the framework of the Programme for infrastructure development in Africa (PIDA) of the African Union and the New partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD) will be presented to private investors to review their investment potentials.

Several institutions such as the World Bank, the African Union Commission, ECA, the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the NEPAD agency have agreed to take part in the summit.
