Tunisian olive oil exports have increased by 35.7% to TND 1,568.6 million, from the beginning of the campaign until the end of March 2023 compared to the same period of the 2021-2022 campaign, according to the note on the “statistics of the month” just published by the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI).
The quantities exported have reached 102.1 thousand tons, from the beginning of the campaign until the end of March 2023, down 6.1%.
Bulk olive oil accounts for 90.9% of exports, while packaged olive oil accounts for only 9.1%.
According to the same source, Spain is the main importer of Tunisian olive oil, with a share of 47.2% of the total volume exported during the first six months of the 2022-2023 campaign, followed by Italy (24.6%) and the United States of America (11.0%).
