Trading at the West African regional stock exchange (BRVM) ended the past week on a rising note, with the BRVM index 10 inching up from 252.96 to 256.96 points, representing a rise of 1.46%.
Also, the Composite BRVM index gained 1.87% to hit 245.12 points, against 240.61 in the previous week.
The BRVM index-public sector registered the highest increase with 699 points, representing a rise of 3.82%, compared to the previous week, while the BRVM-other sectors recorded a decrease of 306.36 points, representing -7.49%.
Total value of transactions was 2.41 billion CFA Francs for 483.018 shares, against 1.72 billion CFA Francs for 1,418.252 shares exchanged in the previous week.
The transactions involved 48 companies, including 32 on the equity market and 16 on the bond markets.
Market capitalisation of equity market added up to 5,951.44 billion CFA Francs, against the 5,841.99 billion CFA Francs recorded the previous week, while that of the bond market reached 1,162.66 billion CFA Francs, against 1,168.81 billion CFA Francs previously recorded.
Onatel Burkina Faso ended the week with 9.180 CFA Francs, representing an increase of 43.44%. But Palm Côte d’Ivoire slid 10.50% to 17.000 CFA Franc.
