A military medical team went to Tataouine on Wednesday to set up the mobile microbiology laboratory at the local military polyclinic.
The setting up of this mobile laboratory is part of the national effort to stem the pandemic of the novel coronavirus, in coordination with the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases and the Tunis Pasteur Institute.
The diagnosis laboratory, equipped with testing instruments and products, will help carry out screening tests for suspected cases of COVID-19 infection in the south-western region.
The laboratory will conduct one hundred (100) tests per day over a period of ten days, says the Defence Ministry.
