Follow-up of cooperation programmes with IOM at centre of working session at Employment Ministry

The follow-up of cooperation programmes in the field of employment, joint programmes and means to promote private initiative was at the centre of the meeting held on Monday by Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Nasredine Nsibi with a delegation of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) led by Head of mission of the organization in Tunisia, Azouz Samri.

Nsibi mentioned several files under study relating to the possibilities of cooperation, such as the establishment of a digital system to identify the real needs of the labour market in specialised skills and graduates of training centres and the organisation of a permanent exhibition to publicise all the specialities of apprenticeship and the prospects of employment, says a statement issued by the ministry.

Regarding the employment sector, the Minister addressed issues related to the implementation of conventions concluded in the field of legal migration and recruitment abroad (in Arab countries and in Europe) in addition to the revision of programmes under the national fund for employment.

For his part, the head of mission of the IOM in Tunisia expressed the readiness of his organisation to support the bilateral cooperation programmes in the service of the interests of both parties, reiterating his commitment to studying all the possibilities for the implementation of the ministry’s action programme during the next stage.
