Inflation in Ghana has continued to slide as it slipped fo r the ninth successive month in March to 13.3 per cent, down from 14.2 per cent i n February, according to the Ghana Statistical Service.
The figure comes as the Central Bank’s Monetary Policy committee meets to discus s the health of the economy with the prime rate being high on the agenda.
The Bank of Ghana last month reduced the prime rate from 18 per cent to 16 per c ent, the biggest cut in three years, although the business community says it cou l d go down further to force down interest rates.
