Mali: Cameroonian heads World Bank operations in Mali, Niger, Chad

The World Bank has appointed French Cameroonian, Paul Noumba UM, as its new director of operations in Mali, Niger and Chad with headquarters in Bamako, Mali, PANA learnt here Monday from official sources.

He will replace Ousmane Diagana of Mauritania who has been reassigned to Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

Mr. Noumba UM had served as director in charge financial and private sector development for the West and Central African region since 2010.

Prior to this position, he served as officer responsible for economic studies in the Cameroonian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications during the period 1987 and 1991.
