Tunisia: Startup Nest, incubation and support program for youths with ideas launched

Wiki Start Up, the first private incubator set up in 2011 in Tunisia, Thursday, announced the launch of the Startup Nest, an incubation and support program for young people with ideas.

It consists in supporting the latter, in the structuring and management of their projects, the training of their teams, as well as technical support and mentoring through specialized groups.

Wiki Start Up is associated with the NGO “SPARK” and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs which finance the Startup Nest program.

They are endeavoring to improve the employability of young people through the development of entrepreneurship and the creation of Startups.

Startup Nest will start with a group totally dedicated to FINTECH in a first phase and a second one, for AGRITECH.

During the incubation process, the selected entrepreneurs will be supported by experts in the field, thus facilitating their access to the market and fund-raising.

Idea holders can register from February 26 to March 26 via an online call for applications for a Hackathon that will determine the 14 selected startups, 7 in the Fintech field and 7 in the Agritech field.

For 4 months, the selected future entrepreneurs will embark on an incubation phase through a comprehensive and personalized support program based on various training courses and activities.

Finally, a fund-raising event will be organized for the benefit of the project leaders in the presence of the investment committees of United Gulf Financial Services North Africa “UGFS-NA,” one of the leading management companies on the Tunisian market in terms of managed funds and leader in the financing of innovative companies, partner of the project.
