National flag carrier Mauritania International Airlines (MAI) has taken delivery of a new Embraer-145 aircraft for domestic and international flights, the airlines has announced
The 50-passenger aircraft, which has four hours of flying time over 3,000km, will serve regional and sub-regional capitals, including Dakar (Senegal), Banjul (Gambia), Casablanca (Morocco), Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire), Bamako (Mali) and Conakry (Guinea).
The Brazil-made plane is considered one of the most modern aircraft with an excellent technology, the company said.
President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz led the team of officials who received the plane.
