Mauritanian national carrier “Mauritania Airlines” on Wednesday resumed flights to Europe following the ban slammed on it in 2010, according to a statement received by PANA Friday in Nouakchott.
The Nouakchott-Las Palmas flight marks the resumption of service by the airline to the European destination.
Mauritania Airlines, which has apparently met European safety and security standards, will operate three weekly flights to Las Palmas, Spain.
The Mauritanian carrier is also expected to launch flights to France, the statement said.
