Nigeria gives foreign airlines 2 weeks to comply with revenue automation

The regulatory Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued a two-week ultimatum to foreign airlines to comply with the agency’s revenue automation or face sanctions.

According to an NCAA statement obtained by PANA here, the ultimatum was issued to the airlines during a meeting between NCAA officials and their representatives in the commercial city of Lagos Tuesday.

NCAA has expressed concern over the non-compliance of a substantial number of the airlines with NCAA’s Revenue Automation requirements.

”According to NCAA’s Regulations regarding revenue collection, the operating airlines are mandated to forward derivable data at the end of every flight operation to the regulatory Authority at the shortest possible time,” the statement said

”These data are forwarded using NCAA’s AVITECH (Aviation Technology, the contracting firm handling the automation) portal for easy and transparent transaction to facilitate appropriate billing for the Ticket Sales Charge and Cargo Sales Charge,” it said.
