The West African Development Bank (WADB) has granted a 5-billion-CFA francs (US$10.6 million) loan for part financing of a project to provide access to credit by the poor, PANA learnt here Friday.
The loan will facilitate the launch of the National Fund of Inclusive Financing Activities (FNFI), established in January 2014.
The FNFI seeks to improve the access to credit by the underprivileged in the society.
According to Togo’s Economy and Finance Minister Adji Ayassor Oteth, the project will, in five years, make it possible for two million Togolese to participate fully in the national financial system.
